Thurston Foods, Inc. began operations on October 22, 1947. TFI operated as a frozen food locker plant, renting lockers in a zero degree room for the purpose of storing frozen food. In addition we sold wholesale cuts of meats to store in those lockers
Today, Thurston Foods, Inc. is a full service broadline distributor and bakery supplier. Our product line ranges from fresh meats, frozen, grocery and fresh produce, paper, disposables, cleaning supplies, equipment and small wares. We inventory over 7,500 different items and our service area includes all of Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island as well as parts of New York, New Jersey, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire
